High reliability of the UPS

  • Total control by microprocessors and DSP.

Parallelization possible
Up to 3 units can be configured in redundant (2+1) or power parallel. The UPS units continue to operate in parallel, even if the connection cable is interrupted (Closed Loop).

Operating mode selection

The operating mode can be programmed using software or configured manually using the front screen.

  • ON LINE: up to 95%.
  • ECO Mode: to increase efficiency (up to 98%), LINE INTERACTIVE (VI) technology can be selected to supply less sensitive loads from the mains.
  • SMART ACTIVE: the UPS autonomously decides the operating mode (VI or VFI) according to the quality of the mains.
  • STANDBY OF: the UPS can be selected to operate only in the event of a mains failure (emergency mode only).
  • Frequency converter operation (50 or 60 Hz).

High quality of output voltage

  • Even with distorted loads (IT loads with crest factor up to 3:1).
  • High short-circuit current on bypass.
  • High overload capacity: 150% per inverter (even in the event of a mains failure).
  • Filtered, stabilised and reliable voltage: ON LINE double conversion technology (VFI according to EN62040-3 regulations) with filters to suppress atmospheric disturbances.
  • Power factor correction: UPS input power factor close to 1 and sinusoidal current absorption.

Simplified installation

  • The UPS can be connected to both single-phase and three-phase STW 8000 and STW 10000 networks.
  • Output terminal block + 2 IEC sockets for powering local equipment (computers, devices, etc.).
  • Easy positioning (integrated wheels).

High battery reliability

  • Automatic and manual battery testing.
  • Battery management is essential to ensure the correct operation of the UPS in emergency conditions. Battery Care System is a series of functions and services that optimise battery management to obtain the best performance and extend operating life.
  • Battery life can be extended indefinitely using battery cabinets;
  • The batteries do not intervene in the event of a mains failure <20 ms (high waiting time) or if the input power supply is between 184 V and 276 V.

Extended autonomy

Optional battery extension modules can be connected to extend the autonomy of the UPS. In addition, the Sentinel Tower series includes ER versions without internal batteries and more powerful controlled 6 A battery chargers for extended autonomy.

  • Low noise level (< 45 dBA): for installation in any environment, thanks to its high switching frequency inverter and PWM ventilation with digital control depending on the load applied (> 20 kHz, value above the audible threshold).
